Grace Castillo, LCSW
I was born and raised in Austin, I am married, and have three adult children. I completed my Bachelor of Social Work degree at the University of Texas, Austin, in 1992, and finished my Master's of Science in Social Work, also at the University of Texas, Austin, in 1994.

I have worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) now for 15 years using my skills in outpatient, residential care, and inpatient acute psychiatric care. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults. I am continually adding to my skill repertoire to ensure that I gives my clients the most accepted and effective treatment available.

While the majority of my experience has been working with adolescents and their families, also feels confident in my ability to work well with couples, and individuals seeking therapy to overcome specific issue. Over the years, I have successfully worked with issues related to depression, anxiety, blended families, parenting, divorce, trauma, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and behavior issues with children, as well as relationship issues with couples.

My focus in therapy is on the individual and what he or she wants to accomplish through therapy. As a means of attaining this, I frequently use a cognitive behavioral approach to therapy, but will also use other modalities as well, based on the specific issue at hand. I also uses play therapy with children.

In my personal time, I enjoy volleyball, salsa dancing, playing games with family, and spending time with my adult children and grandchildren.
