Lori is passionate about mental health and strongly believes in making mental health services available to everyone. Therapy is a collaborative process that can not only help to adjust problematic thinking or behaviors, but can help mend and rebuild interpersonal relationships.
Lori has her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Texas State University in San Marcos and her Master of Arts in Counseling from St. Edwards University. She is a licensed professional counselor and specializes in individual, couple, group, and family therapy. Lori works with children, adolescents, and adults in a nonjudgmental therapeutic setting and offers a multi-disciplinary, client centered approach to therapy. Lori works with trauma, anxiety, PTSD, depression, crisis management, eating disorders, addiction and substance abuse, self-harm, and family dynamics issues.
During her intern years, she worked at Capital Area Counseling and The Settlement Home for Children, where she also practiced as a therapist for several years post internship. She is a Trust Based Relational Intervention® Practitioner and approved trainer, and she is a member of the Texas Counseling Association.
Lori has lived in Austin for over 18 years and loves everything that Austin uniquely has to offer from water activities on Lady Bird and Travis Lake to hiking the numerous hike and bike trails all over this beautiful city.
