I am a therapist passionate about therapy being accessible to anyone who wants to pursue it. I believe therapy can help us better understand ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. Our environments and culture profoundly impact us, and sometimes understanding ourselves means unpacking our culture and environment's impact on us.
I graduated from Saint Anselm College with a Bachelor of the Arts in Psychology and then from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Master of Social Work. I have worked in various settings and have experience in crisis services, virtual, inpatient, and outpatient therapy.
I am an LGBTQ+ friendly therapist that works with children as young as 11, teenagers, young adults, and adults. I work with individuals undergoing life transitions and changes, ADHD, Autism, PTSD, cPTSD, anxiety, mood disorders, and self-harm.
While I am certified in Motivational Interviewing, I believe in taking an eclectic approach because therapy is not one size fits all. Modalities I utilize include dialectical behavioral therapy, internal family systems, narrative therapy, and solutions-focused therapy. I pull from systems theory, gestalt, existential, abolitionist, and decolonizing philosophies and principles.
I have lived in Austin for five years and enjoy hiking, roller skating, and weightlifting. I am also a boxing coach for girls ages 12 to 18. When I am not being active, I enjoy cooking, drawing, painting, and spending time with my friends, family, dog, and cats.
