I am Brandi Winters, and I am passionate about working with individual adults as well as children, adolescents, and their families.
I have worked in the field of Social Work since 1993 in places including, yet not limited to, The Corpus Christi State School, Charter and Bayview Psychiatric Hospitals, a foster home for boys, The Settlement Home, The University of Texas at Austin School of Social Work, Private Practice, and Meridell Achievement Center.
I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Supervisor in the State of Texas. I received my Bachelors of Science in Social Work (1999) and my Masters of Science in Social Work (2001) from The University of Texas at Austin.
I have specialized training in areas including, yet not limited to, trauma, EMDR, play therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, brief solution focused therapy, and Trust Based Relational Intervention®. I take a client centered and/or family approach to understanding and supporting individuals. My role is to help individuals find healing and/or direction through their struggles.
Like a road map provides options, direction, and insight into aspects of the journey at hand, my clinical approach is like the functions of a road map; I am a guide supporting the driver.
