Dorian Rinehart

I’ve worked with families and children all my adult life. I began with an Associate’s Degree in Child Development, working with young children and parents, primarily in day care centers.

I then returned to school, obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Education and taught high school for a time.

I then moved to Child Protective Services, where I loved my work for many years.

Eventually I returned to school, for a Master’s Degree in Social Work, so that I could work as a therapist.

I’ve worked for the US military since 2001. I’ve lived and worked at Fort Hood, in South Korea, and at multiple locations in Germany.

My past 10 years, I’ve worked primarily with children, adolescents and their families, helping parents and children understand each other better and live more comfortably together.

I have specialized training working with adolescents who are looking at gender issues and identity issues and how those come together or conflict.

I’m very pleased to be joining Counselors of Texas.
