I’m Cynthie Grace, proud owner of Counselors of Texas.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

Much before Counselors of Texas, my husband and I owned a small town hardware store for seven years in Michigan where my husband and I grew up. We then came to Austin about ten years ago, and my family and I bought a machine shop, which is now in its tenth year.

I had worked as a therapist on my own but within a group for about seven years. When the opportunity arose to take over the business in August of 2016, I took it. With the support of my family on the business end, we now own the Counselors of Texas.

We’ve definitely been growing since the inception of the business. We started with about six therapists and have now additionally acquired eleven therapists. We began with an already strong group of therapists and now have an even more dynamic group of professionals.

When I decided to take this on I thought, it would be hard work and energy draining and I would be mentally fatigued as well. I can say now that it definitely is hard work, but I keep drawing more inspiration and energy from working with everyone, that I never imagined I would have. Being surrounded by a good group of people gives me this immense sense of fulfillment in knowing I’ve made the best decision I possibly could.

The most enjoyable part of my work is being a part of a group of people who are committed to helping others, from those who answer the phones, to the ones who make sure the bills get paid to the therapists. We enjoy our work and working together. It’s rewarding when we can share in each other’s successes. There is a unified, strong sense of service here. Moreover, as we build in our accomplishments, we continue to grow, developing professional and personal insights and strengths.

As an individual, I believe what sets me apart from the others is that the agency is guided by principles, values, and virtues that my team and I firmly believe in, to develop and maintain a healthy work environment. Through this, we can provide the highest quality of services possible for both our clients and our therapists. And now especially at this time in our history, I am always cognizant of how much is needed from my team and me to be kind to others who think differently.

When I am not at work, I enjoy working with wood and ink. I also make sure I stop at the park on the way back from work to take time to swing, which is a new found happy place for me.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.

If you or someone you know could benefit from our counseling or therapy services in Texas, I invite you to get in touch. Please visit our website at www.counselorsoftexas.com.

Sincerely,

Cynthie
