religion/spirituality issues

During difficult times many people find that their spiritual needs increase. Often we find strength and hope in our religious and spiritual beliefs. It is important to remember that spirituality is an ongoing issue – a part of our individual journey, not something to be addressed only in crisis. Attention to spiritual needs can contribute to an increased quality of life.

In addressing issues of spirituality and religion, our counselors treat client’s beliefs with respect and acceptance, allowing the therapeutic work to incorporate the clients’ spiritual and religious life into the therapy. Our therapeutic approaches emphasize the development of insight and aim for greater integration of cognitive and emotional experiences, assisting clients to better attain their personal desires by resolving intrapsychic and interpersonal conflicts.
