Ann was born in Uvalde, Texas and grew up in Temple, Texas. She graduated from Temple High School and received her Bachelors degree in biology and chemistry from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. She also received her Texas Teaching Certificate in both fields. Ann later graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor with a Masters Degree in Psychology. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas. Ann has been in private practice at Counselors of Texas and Schaffer and Associates Counseling Services since 1990.
Ann has over 16 years of experience working with individuals, couples and families. Her specialties include working with women and men dealing with depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, codependency, grief, divorce recovery, parenting issues, PTSD, marital problems, childhood sexual abuse, trauma, stress management and anger management.
She also works with area churches and pastors to provide Christian counseling, life support groups and presentations on various topics.
The things that are most important to Ann are her faith, her family and friends, her work and her church family and ministry. She enjoys the outdoors, especially the beach or mountains and loves to work in her yard planting flowers.
