Marci Eddins, LPC
Marci Eddins is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor with 10 years of experience working with adults, children, and families experiencing physical and mental disabilities or barriers to their optimal functioning.  She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Texas in Denton in 1998 where she studied under some of the foremost minds in rehabilitation psychology and neurotherapy.  Marci completed her Master's degree in Education at the University of Texas at Austin in 2004, where she focused on working with disability populations and treatment of PTSD in combat veterans.  She earned her license to practice counseling in the state of Texas in 2007 while working extensively in the Austin area.  She has also completed training as a Certified EMDR Consultant specialized in a body-mind approach to treating post-traumatic stress.

Over the course of her career Marci has gained invaluable experience working in behavioral health, vocational rehabilitation, and community based inpatient and outpatient settings in Texas and New York City.  Living among the diversity of New York and witnessing the aftermath of 911 inspires her work in helping adults, children, families, and veterans who are adjusting to disability, trauma, life changes, and reintegration into life and work. She is additionally motivated by her experiences in recovering from a sports injury as a young athlete and discovering healing and peak performance through therapeutic counseling using EMDR ( Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

Marci approaches each individual, child, couple, or family with openness to learning and working together toward tapping into their body-centered healing processes.  She believes that when we become whole - mind, body, and spirit, that we can achieve peak performance in our lives, relationships, and careers.  Healing emotional wounds is much like healing a physical wound.  Like a broken bone needs support, rest, and care to heal - our emotional selves must be allowed to heal in a supportive, restorative, safe place.  She will provide support and tools for coping with pain, to speed healing and promote life-affirming behavior change and goal attainment.  Marci specializes in career transition, family transition, adjustment to disability, a body-centered approach using imagery, and treatment of post traumatic stress disorder.  You may work with Marci on healing relational issues, loss and trauma, depression, anger, abuse, marital discord, ADHD, and stress related illness.

She welcomes you to bring balance into your life, joy into your play, and clarity in your path and purpose.
